Folkestone Safe Haven
About:
Folkestone Safe Haven provides mental health support for adults aged 16+ in the Folkestone and Hythe District. It is now run by Mental Health Matters which is a national charity with over 40 years of experience in delivering high-quality mental health services.
This is a walk-in service – there’s no need to be referred by your GP or Care Coordinator. The Folkestone Safe Haven offers a welcoming, safe, comfortable, non-judgmental and non-clinical environment, sometimes known as ‘crisis cafes’. At the safe haven, we will be able to provide information and emotional support if you are in crisis or feel you are heading towards a crisis situation.
The service is free and there is no need for an appointment – simply turn up. Whether you’re struggling with an enduring mental health condition, bereavement, work stress, or anything else that is impacting your mental health, we’re here.
Visitors to the Folkestone Haven will be greeted by one of our trained Recovery Workers, who will offer a listening ear and tailored mental health support.
